Both the Old Donation School 8th Grade Dance committee and the creator of this website, Meg Castle, are committed to protecting your and your child's privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect the information submitted through this website.

We collect the following information via our form:

• Child's first and last name
• Child's ODS Team name
• Two photographs of the child
• Optional message from parent
• Parent or guardian's name
• Parent or guardian's email address

This information is collected only with verifiable parental consent, as required under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

2. How we use this information

The collected data is used only for the following purposes:

• To create a slideshow presentation displayed only at Old Donation School during the 8th Grade Dance on June 7, 2025
• To communicate with the parent or guardian

We do not share this data with third parties.

3. How we protect your data

We implement industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including:

• Secure HTTPS transmission
• Storage of data and files in access-controlled environments
• Limited internal access to data
4. Parental rights

As a parent or guardian, you have the right to:

• Review the personal information we have collected about your child
• Request that we delete your child’s personal information
• Revoke your consent at any time

5. Data retention

We retain submitted data only as long as needed to prepare for and display the slideshow presentation. All personal data and images will be deleted within 30 days following the event.

6. Third parties

We use Google Cloud Storage to store uploaded files securely. This provider does not have access to or use the data for their own purposes.
